How to Choose Your First Pod Kit

Pod kits all look similar — these are the things that actually matter.

Battery size

Measured in mAh. 800–1000mAh comfortably lasts a moderate vaper a day; heavier use or no charging opportunities, look for 1500mAh+ or a kit with fast USB-C charging.

Pod style

Refillable pods are cheapest to run — fill with any 10ml nic salt. Prefilled pods are ultimate convenience — click in a fresh pod, no filling. Both are far cheaper than disposables within a couple of weeks.

Coil resistance

Higher resistance (1.0–1.2Ω) gives a tighter, cigarette-like draw ideal for nic salts. Lower (0.6–0.8Ω) gives warmer vapour and more flavour, best with slightly lower strengths.

Our advice

Don't overthink it: any reputable-brand refillable pod kit with a 1.0Ω-ish coil and a 20mg nic salt will do the job brilliantly for a new switcher.
