Beginner's Guide to Vaping

Switching from smoking? Here's everything you need to know to get started.

1. Pick your device

For most new vapers a refillable pod kit is the sweet spot: small, simple, no settings to learn, and far cheaper to run than disposables. Fill the pod, let it sit for a few minutes, and you're vaping.

2. Pick your e-liquid

Nic salts (10ml bottles, typically 10–20mg) are the closest feel to a cigarette — smooth on the throat with fast satisfaction, ideal in pod kits. Start at 20mg if you smoked a pack a day, 10mg if you were a lighter smoker.

3. Learn the basics

Prime new coils/pods by filling and waiting 5–10 minutes before the first puff. When flavour turns burnt or muted, it's time for a new coil — usually every 1–2 weeks. Keep spare pods or coils in your basket when you order.

4. What to expect

The first week can take adjusting — vaping is sipped little and often rather than smoked in one go. If you're constantly reaching for it, try a stronger nicotine level, not a weaker one.
